The Charter Towns Bill SB 165 is scheduled for a Senate Committee hearing on Wednesday June 22, at 10:00 A.M. in Madison. We will be working for passage of this bill during the summer and hope for a vote on the floor by September.
SB165 (AB266) will enhance our opportunity to keep economic development in our Town and protect our tax base. It will help end border disputes and promote cooperation between incorporated municipalities and towns. In addition, it will assist towns in future planning, knowing that some protections are afforded their residents.
